CURTIS G. CANARD
Pfc Curtis G. Canard was transferred from Hq 82nd Airborne Division, Leicester, England to Service Company on 18 September 1944.  He was then transferred to Company E on 11 November 1944.

Pfc Canard was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge for action during the campaign, 18 December 1944 to 20 February 1945.

On 3 January 1946, Pfc Canard arrived in New York, NY aboard the Queen Mary from Southampton, England with Company E, 505th PIR.

He returned to his native Arkansas and on 30 December 1949 married  Betty Jo Hopper in Independence county, AR.
