ALLEN WALTON CANTRELL

Cantrell, Allen Walton, was born August 8, 1922 and went to be with the Lord December 20, 2003.

He is survived by his Wife: Malva Maureen Cantrell, Son John Stephen Cantrell, Daughters: Glynis Thomas and husband Clint, Lisa Smith and husband Lee, and Sister: Velva M. Huggins, 8 Grandchildren: Stephanie, Brian, Haley, Jake, Alexandra, Victoria, Elizabeth and Cole, 3 Great-Grandchildren: Austin, Baylee and Anniston.

He retired after a 22-year career in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Infantry Officer serving in World War II and the Korean War. He was committed to his family and lived the creedo "Duty, Honor, Country".

Please consider a donation to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers. Family will receive friends Tuesday, December 23, 2003 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Grove Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at 12:00 P.M. at the Grove Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow the Funeral Services at 2:00 P.M. at the D.F.W. National Cemetery.
