CLYDE F. CARLISLE

Grave marker for Clyde F. Carlisle in Section 22, Site 780, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver (Denver county), Colorado.

Clyde first enlisted in the Army on 21 March 1951 and completed his basic training at Fort Jackson, SC.  Pvt Carlisle then went overseas to Berlin, Germany.

On 8 December 1952, Cpl Carlisle was enrolled in the U. S. Army Non-Commissioned Officers School  in Berlin.

Sgt Carlisle volunteered for parachutist duty and completed the 11th Airborne Division Jump School at Fort Campbell, KY.  He was then assigned to Company F of the 508th Airborne Regimental Combat Team.

On 11 April 1956, SFC Carlisle was listed on the "Return of 508th RCT To CONUS*" advanced party movement order from Camp Chickamauga, Japan to Camp Campbell, KY via Travis AFB, CA, with his wife and their child.

He retired from the Army on 30 June 1971.
