ANTHONY J. CASOLO

 

Pennsylvania Record of Burial Place of Veteran and grave marker for Anthony J., Casolo in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Ridgway (Elk county), Pennsylvania.

Anthony registered for the draft ca. 1943.  He was inducted into the Army at Noblesville, IN on 13 May 1943. 

Pvt Casolo was transferred from the 509th PIR to Company A, 508th PIR on 7 February 1945.

On 19 February he was evacuated to a field hospital classed as a non-battle casualty.

Still hospitalized, Pvt Casolo was transferred to the detachment of patients on 31 May 1945.

On 9 July 1945, Pvt Casolo was transferred back to I Company from the 2nd Reinforcement Depot.

He was discharged on 26 October 12945 but re-enlisted on 27 October 1945 and was discharged on 9 September 1948 as a Sergeant.. Based on his record of burial he was in the 66th Armored Division
