THOMAS P. CAUSEY

(courtesy of Don Atwell)

Grave marker for Thomas P. Causey in the Balkum Baptist Church Cemetery, Balkum (Henry county), Alabama.

Thomas enlisted in the Army at Ft McPherson, Atlanta, GA on 7 Jan 1943.  By September of that year he had been promoted to Pfc and was a member of Service Company, 508th.

Pfc Causey's name appears just a few more times in 1943 as he went on a period of detached service in September/October with the Hq Detachment and then later for a period of furlough during the period of November 5th through 15th.  No other entries have been found to date,

Thomas died in Fulton county (probably metro Atlanta) on Christmas day, 1957 at the young age of 38. Cause of death is unknown but may be due to a holiday car accident or heart attack.
