George enlisted in the Army at Ft Benjamin Harrison,
IN on 1 March 1941.
Pvt Chappellow was assigned to Hq 2nd as of 13
Sept 1943 from Hq 2nd Army Umpire School, Cp Forrest, Tennessee. He
was relieved of the umpire duty as of 12 November 1943 and returned
to his parent unity.
George served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam
earning the Bronze Star Medal during that period.
