EDWARD B. CHATOIAN

Grave meeker for Edward B Chatoian in Elks Mausoleum, C Level, 3 O'clock, Skylawn Memorial Park, San Mateo (San Mateo county), California.

Edward registered for the draft in San Mateo, CA on 30 June 1942.  He was inducted into the Army on 5 October 1942

Pvt Chatoian was assigned to Company F, 508th PIR.  He was appointed to the grade of T/5 on 27 April 1943 and promoted to to T/4 on 26 August 1943.

On 4 July 1944, T4 Chatoian was wounded in action in Normandy on Hill 95. He suffered a broken leg and arm, and lost his left eye. The radio he had been carrying was blown almost off his back.

On 10 October 1944, still hospitalized, he was transferred to the detachment of patients in a unknown hospital.

He was discharged on 18 May 1945.
