R. Colgan
of Endwell
Frank R. Colgan, of Endwell, passed away Friday
evening, April 8, 1994 at the Wilson Memorial Hospital. He is survived
by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Colgan, Endwell; one son, Timothy Colgan,
N.H.; one daughter, Mary Colgan, Endicott; one grandson, Andrew Robert
Colgan, Mass.; one sister and brother-in-law, June and James Downs,
Endwell; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a retired
IBM Owego employee and a member of its Quarter Century Club. He was
a veteran of the US Army, serving during World War II.
Funeral Services
will be held Tuesday at 12:20 p.m. at the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home,
Inc., 1905 Watson Blvd., Endicott, with the Rev. Clarence Rumble, Associate
Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church, officiating. Burial will be at
the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m..
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American
Diabetes Assn., 3337 Harrison St., Johnson City, NY 13790, or to the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Inc., 6311 Fly Rd., Syracuse, 13201.

Memorial Park, Vestal (Broome county), New York,
Frank registered for the draft in Binghamton,
Broome, NY on 2 July 1943 and was inducted into the Army at
Binghamton, NY on 24 September 1943.
Pvt Colgan was transferred from Hq 11th
Replacement Depot to Service Company, 508th PIR on 9 August 1944.
On 26 October 1944 he was transferred to
Detachment #1, Service Company.
On 3 January 1946, T/5 Colgan arrived at New
York, NY from Southampton, England aboard the Queen Mary, listed as
a member of 505th PIR.
He was discharged on 23 December 1946. |
