Genaro Couturier registered for the draft in Los Angeles, CA on 30 June 1942 and was inducted into the Army  in Los Angeles, CA on 19 September 1942.

 On 23 October 1943, Pvt Couturier was transferred from Fort MacArthur, CA to Company C, 508th PIR.

On 15 May 1943 he was appointed to the grade of Pfc.

Apparently injured during the Tennessee war games, he was sent to the 35th Evacuation Hospital, West Mooreland TN on 5 October1943.  He rejoined the company on 11 November 1943.

T5 Couturier was transferred to the 541st PIR at Camp Mackall, NC on 18 December 1943.

Genaro died on 6 December 2002 in Van Nuys, CA.  His final resting place is unknown at this time.
