LAWYER E. CUMMINGS
 LAWYER EDWARD CUMMINGS, 74 of Memphis, Staff Sergeant (retired) and TIP Trucking Co., died Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at his home.
  Visitation Friday, 4-7 at E.H. Ford Mortuary; services 11 a.m., Saturday, Golden United Methodist Church; burial 9 a.m., Tuesday, West TN. Cemetery.
   Mr. Cummings was preceded in death by his wife Lurlean Cummings. He was a member of the Male Chorus, Quilting Circle, MRTSA and VFW.
   He leaves 2 daughters Elizabeth Parrish, Charlesta Meadows and 1 son, William Edward Cummings of Memphis, all of Memphis, 2 sisters, Patricia Ann Jones-Brown and Deborrah King of Memphis, 1 brother, Rev. Willie Gene Cummings, 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. E.H. Ford Mortuary Services

Grave marker for Lawyer E. Cummings in Section KK, Site 21257, West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Memphis (Shelby county), Tennessee.

Lawyer enlisted in the Army on 28 April 1950 and served in the 508th ARCT Medical Company from 1954 to 1956.

He re-enlisted on 29 March 1970 and was discharged on 31 July 1972.
