JEREMIAH M. CUSHING, JR.

Grave marker for Jeremiah M. Cushing in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fitzwilliam (Cheshire county), New Hampshire.

Jeremiah enlisted in the army at Manchester, NH on 1 October 1942.

On 26 October 1943, Pvt Cushing was transferred from Hq The Parachute School , Fort Benning GA to Hq 1st, 508th PIR.

He was appointed to the rank of Pfc on 19 July 1944.

Pfc Cushing was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge for action during the Normandy, France Campaign, 6 June 1944 to 9 July 1944.
