Grave marker for Raymond A. Dalton in
Section M of the Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket (Providence
county), Rhode Island.
Raymond enlisted in the Army at Fort
Devens, MA on 1 June 1944 and volunteered for parachutist duty.
On 7 March 1945 Pvt Dalton was
transferred to Hq 1st, 508th PIR from the 11th Reinforcement Depot.
Discharged on 4 June 1946, he was
recalled to duty on 24 February 1950 to serve in the Korean Conflict.
He was again discharged on 15 March 1954. |
