Willis enlisted in the Army at Camp
Chaffee in Fort Smith, AR on 6 October 1939.
Pvt Davis was transferred to Company
G, 508th PIR on 22 August 1944.
Listed as a non-battle casualty, Pvt
Davis was evacuated to a field hospital on 2 February 1945, possibly due
to frostbite.
He returned to the company on 6 March
1945 just in time to receive his promotion to Pfc on 8 March.
Pfc Davis was discharged on 5
September 1945 but re-enlisted three months later on 18 December.
His second discharge occurred on 17 June 1947 |
