WILLIAM A. DEAN

William A. Dean, 80, of Camp Hill, died Thursday, December 18, 2003 at his residence.

He was born April 5, 1923 in Enhaut, son of the late Simon and Helen Dean.

He was a World War II Army Veteran, 82nd Airborne and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He retired after 30 years of service from the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, son, Michael and sister, Patricia Neidinger. He is survived by his daughter, Cathy Moyer and son-in-law, Gary Moyer of Harrisburg; daughter-in-law, Joan Hamilton, widow of Michael Dean; sisters, Evelyn, Betty, Gloria and Miriam; brothers, Alvin, Robert and Ron; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 11 a.m., at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National World War II Memorial, P.O. Box 96766, Washington, D.C. 20090-6766. www.pennlive.com/obits
