DeFoil, Ashland Cemetery, Ashland (Saunders county), Nebraska.
Gene enlisted in the Army at
Fort Crook, NE on 23 July 1942. A parachutist volunteer,
Pvt DeFoil was assigned to Service Company, 508th PIR at Camp
Blanding, FL.
On 30 August 1943, he was
appointed to the grade of Tech/5, a grade which he held for the
remainder of the war.
T/5 DeFoil was discharged on
20 December 1945. |
