JOHN DESOUSA
November 14 1925  -0 April 16, 2003

   John DeSousa 77 of Millheim died on Wednesday April 16 2003 at Centre Community Hospital/
   He was born on Nov 14 1925 in Azores Portugal and emigrated to the United States when he was 5 years old.
   In 1949 he married L: June Coiyer who survives at home.
   He was a veteran of Work) War II having served in the Army with the 508th Parachute Infantry 82nd Airborne Division.
   From 1976 to 1988 he worked for Gettig Engineering Pharmaceuticals in Spring Mills He was the manager of DeSousa Arco in Millheim from 1953 to 1976 He was one of the original
 members of the Black Panther Riding Club in Spring Mills.  He was a member of American Legion Post 444 in Millheim and the Millheim Fire Co.
   In addition to his wife he is survived by two sorts Jack L DeSousa of Cobum and David “Joe" DeSousa of rural Port Matilda, a sister Laura in Alabama and four grandchildren, Gina David Curt and Carfi.
   Friends and family will gather from 6 to 9 pm today at Steven R Neff Funeral Home 120 W Main St Millheim. Burial will be at the convenience of the family with the Rev Edward Putt Sr officiating.
