Paul enlisted in the Army on 20 August
1942, probably in Minneapolis, MN.
On 28 April 1943, Pvt Devaney
transferred from the Parachute School, Fort Benning, GA to the
Medical Detachment, 508th PIR. He attached to Hq 2nd on 25 May 1944
Pvt Devaney was taken prisoner on
D-Day, 6 June 1944 and was liberated from Stalag 4B in 1945.
He was discharged on 19 December 1945. |
