JOHN A. DIEBOLT
Diebolt, John A.
Webster: Sun, Jan 8 2006, age 82.  Predeceased by his first wife, Virginia and second wife, Janet.  He leaves 2 sons, David and Mark (Sharon); 3 grandchildren, Whitney, Zachary and Campbell Diebolt.
   No service will be held.  Interment, Webster Rural Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations ma be made to a charity of your choice.  Arr: Willard H. Scott Funeral Home.

John enlisted in the Army at Buffalo, NY on 3 March 1942.

On  6 February 1945, per Special Order 24 issued by Hq 82d Airborne Division, Pvt Diebolt was transferred from the 509th PIR to Hq 1st 508th PIR which was then in Belgium.

He was sent to the 241st General Hospital, Sissonne, France on 15 March 1945 as  "non-battle casualty."  He returned to duty three days later.

Pvt Diebolt was again hospitalized on 21 April 19455 and remained there until 26 May.

His military decorations include the Bronze service Arrowhead device awarded for Southern France Campaign and Airborne Operations
