Daniel registered for the draft in Mt. Pleasant, PA
and was inducted into the Army enlisted at Greensburg, PA on 19 March
1943
 Three
days later the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Pittsburgh, pa listed hundreds
of recent inductees from the Greenwood area.
Pvt Dillon was transferred from the 3rd Replacement Depot to Company
C, 508th PIR on 9 February 1945.
On 3 January 1946, Pfc Dillon arrived in New York city aboard the Queen
Mary after sailing from Southampton, England
He was discharged on 25 January 1946. |
