Grave marker for Ages G. Dixon in
Section 26, Site 2273, Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio
(Bexar county). Texas.
The National Archives records indicate that Ages
enlisted in the Army at Camp Wolters, TX on 30 September 1944, the same
date shown on his draft record filed in in Lufkin, TX. The record
may have been completed prior to boarding the bus that would take him to
Mineral Springs where the camp was located.
He was commissioned, probably on 1 November1947, and
retired as a Lt Colonel in July 1967. |
