EARL W. DRAPER
Earl W. Draper Jr., 84, Inverness, [FL] died Nov 26, 2008, in Avante of Inverness. A native of Boston, MA, he was born to the late Earl and Elena Draper Sr. and came to this area from Massachusetts, where he retired from the Boston and Maine Railway System. He served our country during WWII in the U.S. Army, where he was a paratrooper with the 513th Infantry, having served in Southern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and a Silver Service Star. He was a life member of VFW Post 4337. Survivors include his wife, Rose Long Draper; 4 children, Earl Draper III, Eric Draper, Timothy Draper and Christine Manley; several grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, Dec 2, at 10:00 AM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, with Fr. Charles Leke of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
