RICHARD R. DUDLEY
Richard Roy Dudley, Sr. died August 7, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Richard was born in Oaktown, Indiana on February 28, 1927.

He was a member of Huffman United Methodist Church and former member of Central Park United Methodist Church; Member of Pleasant Grove Masonic Lodge and former member of Central Park Masonic Lodge; Founding member of Vulcan Chapter of 82nd Airborne Association; Member VFW and American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents Hazel Marie Pierson and Carl Emory Dudley, Sr.; sisters Nona Allen, Mary Loftin, Leah Mae Gaede, Wilma Morrison, Carolyn Clark, Rose Marie Litherland; and brother Bobby Dudley. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Marjorie Lou McGaughy Dudley; children Kathy Brimer, Richard R. Dudley, Jr. (Kimberly), and Robert Dudley (Barbara); brother, Carl E. Dudley, Jr. (Earline); grandchildren, David Chris Brimer (Kristen), Jonathan Brimer, Blake Dudley, William Dudley, Savanna Murray (Ian), Patrick Dudley, Samantha Dudley, and Angela Underwood (Michael).

A visitation will be held Sunday August 9th at 1p.m. followed by services at 2:30pm at Ridout's Trussville Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Alabama National Cemetery Monday August 10th. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Vulcan Chapter of 82nd Airborne Association for the Educational Fund, C/O Barry Simpson 1801 Oakwood Avenue Huntsville, AL 35811 or Huffman United Methodist Church 711 Gene Reed Road, Birmingham, AL 35235.
