ROGER G. DUFFY
Duffy, Roger G.
   Jan 31, 1967, 3941 N. 25th st., aged 45 years.  Beloved husband of Marie Duffy (nee Steinberg). dear father of Karen, Kathleen, Kay, Roger William and Kim.  son of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Jensen. Fountain City, Wis.: son-in-law of Mrs. Agnes Steinberg of Eau Claire, Wis.: brother of Hugh Duffy, Winona, Minn. Services Fri., Feb 3, 10:30 a.m. at the Wendler Funeral Home, W, Capitol dr., at 21st st. Interment Graceland. Member Charles Kinz post No 409, American legion and Moose Milwaukee lodge No. 49.  In state Thurs. 4 p.m.

Roger registered for the draft in Alma, WI on 18 February 1942 and was inducted into the Army at Tacoma, Washington on 28 July 1942.

He married Marie Steinberg on 14 March 1943 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin/

Pfc Duffy was wounded in action on 1 October 1944 and evacuated to England.  He returned to duty on 29 November 1944 and was transferred to Service Company for light duty.

He then was transferred back to Hq Hq on 12 December.

On 18 August Pfc Duffy was transferred in grade to the 513th PIR, 17th Airborne Division.
