Roger registered for the draft in Alma, WI on 18 February
1942 and was inducted into the Army at Tacoma, Washington on 28 July 1942.
He married Marie Steinberg on 14 March 1943 in Eau
Claire, Wisconsin/
Pfc Duffy was wounded in action on 1 October 1944 and
evacuated to England. He returned to duty on 29 November 1944 and
was transferred to Service Company for light duty.
He then was transferred back to Hq Hq on 12 December.
On 18 August Pfc Duffy was transferred in grade to the
513th PIR, 17th Airborne Division. |
