GERALD L. DUGRE
  Gerald L. Dugre, 76, of 36 St. Anselm Drive, Goffstown, died Feb. 17, 2003, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.
   Born in Manchester May 11, 1926, he was the son of Edmond and Albertine (Fortier) Dugre. He was raised in Manchester and attended Central High School.
   Mr. Dugre was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He left school to serve in the 513th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division in the European Theater of Operations. His specialty in the army was a paratrooper and rifleman. He was awarded the Bronze Star for exemplary conduct in ground combat.
   When he returned he joined the reserves and married his wife, Lucille. He left shortly thereafter to serve as a corporal in the Korean War in the 581st Signal Radio Relay Co. specializing in radio communications.
   Upon his return, he completed his schooling and went to New England College where he majored in business. He owned and operated Dugre's Television Sales & Service for many years.
   He was a member of Jutras Post 43 of the American Legion, and the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 1. He had been a communicant of St. Edmond Church.
   Family members include his wife of 52 years, Lucille M. (Pelletier) Dugre of Goffstown; three daughters, Susan E. Sennevile, Laurie J. Dugre and Denise A. Dugre, all of Goffstown; three grandchildren; a sister, Jeannine Girard of Manchester; a brother, Maurice Dugre of Orlando, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.
   He was predeceased by a son, Mark R. Dugre, in 2001.
   SERVICES: Calling hours are Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Gerald registered for the draft in Manchester, NH on 11 May 1944 and was inducted into the Army on  3 August 1944, also at Manchester, NH.

Pvt Dugre was transferred from the 505th PIR to Hq 2ned, 508th PIR on 10 March 1945.

He was discharged on 29 June 1946 but was called back to active duty for the Korean Conflict on 25 September 1950 and was discharged on 24 June 1952.

Gerald passed away in a Veterans Administration Hospital on 17 February 2003 and was laid to rest in Mount Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum, Manchester (Hillsborough), NH
