DONALD J. DUNN
Donald J. Dunn died on 6 January 2000 and was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Key West (Dubuque county), Iowa.

Donald enlisted in the Army at Camp Dodge, Herrold, Iowa on 18 August 1943.

Following the completion of basic training and jump school, Pvt Dunn sailed for the ETO on 31 January 1945.

On 1 March 1945, Pvt Dunn was transferred from the 11th Reinforcement Depot to Company D, 508th PIR.  He was promoted to the grade of Pfc on 20 March 1945.

Pfc Dunn returned to the U.S. on 31 October 1945 and was discharged on 6 April 1946.

On 20 August 1949, Donald submitted the above application for the Iowa WWII Veterans Bonus.  He was credited with 31 months of domestic duty and 9 months of foreign service and was awarded a $300 bonus.
