Donald enlisted in the Army at Camp Dodge, Herrold, IA on 16 August
1943.
On 2 March 1945 Pvt Dunne was transferred from the 11th
Reinforcement Depot to Company D, 508th PIR. He was promoted to
Pfc18 days later.
Pfc Dunne returned to the U.S. on 31 October 1945 and was discharged on
5 April 1946.
