DWYER, James W. of Brockton, formerly of Canton, Dec. 24, age . husband of the late Rita T. (McNulty). Father : of Paul S. of Brockton and ithe late James W., Jr. Brother of John Regan of Burlington, Robert Regan of Woburn, Thomas Regan of Medford and the late Marjorie Sampson, Walter Regan, Ralph Regan. Also survived by 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) STOUGHTON on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Directions and obituary at www.farleyfh.com.

James registered for the draft in Boston, MA on 1 July 1041 and was inducted at enlisted at Fort Devens, MA on 26 August 1944.

Pvt Dwyer was transferred from the 11th Reinforcement Depot to Company D, 508th PIR on 4 March 1945,

He was promoted to Pfc on 20 March 1945.
