RAYMOND E. DYCHES
   COPE, S.C. Raymond Edward Dyches, 50, died Monday morning at the Orangeburg Regional Hospital.
   Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. Odell Breland officiating. Burial will be in the Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Thompson Funeral Home. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
   Active pallbearers will be Clyde Wolfe, Jimmy Wolfe, Ernest Murphy, Jackie Boltin, J.C. Robertson, A.K. Sandifer, Pat Garrick and Buck Carrigg.
  Honorary pallbearers will be Alton Squires, Dr. Bert Gue, Dr. L.H. Salley, Dr. H.E. McCollough, Cecil Medlin, Robert Kemp, Miles Vara, Herman Jeffcoat Sr., Glenn Kittrell, Harold Davis and R.Q. Link.
   Mr. Dyches was born October 4, 1926, in Barnwell County, a son of Mrs. Lottie Boltin Dyches and the late John Henry Dyches. He was employed with the E.I. Department, DuPont Division at Savannah River Plant for 23 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bamberg; Bamberg; a veteran of World War II, having served as a paratrooper; and was a member of the V.F.W.
   Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Jennie Lou Kittrell Dyches of Cope; one daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Brenda) Link of Cope; two sons, Dennis Edward Dyches of Orangeburg and Barry Dean Dyches of Cope; two sisters, Mrs. E.A. (Margaret) Brabham of Olar and Mrs. Fabian (Dorothy) Proveaux of Denmark; mother, Mrs. Lottie B. Dyches of Denmark [SC]; two grandsons, Shannon Dyches of Orangeburg and Kenny Link of Cope; and a number of nieces and nephews.
   Friends may call at the residence in the Canaan Community Community and at the Thompson Funeral Home.
