Paul registered for the draft in
Westford, Massachusetts on 16 October 1940 and was inducted into the
Army at Fort Devens, MA on 9 December 1943.
Pvt Ekstrom was transferred from
Hq 82d Airborne Division, Leicester, England to Servicer Company,
508th PIR on 13 September 1944.
On 8 December 1944 he was
transferred to the Medical Detachment. but 10 days later he was
transferred back to Service Company.
He was promoted to Pfc on 4
January 1945.

Beach, CA, a native of Frankfurt am Main, Germany
Lydia
successfully petitioned for U.S. citizenship and took the oath of
