JOHN D. ENTLER

ENTLER John D. Entler, age 78, Friday, January 22, 1999 at his residence. Born August 11, 1920 in Piketon, Ohio to the late Benjamin and Noreen (McMurray) Entler.

WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy, Past Commander and Past Quarter Master of Beaver VFW Post 9942. Retired contractor.

Preceded in death by 3 brothers, Floyd, Delbert and Chuck and 2 sisters, Lela and Mildred. Survived by wife, Janet Higginbotham whom he married on March 14, 1990; 3 sons, Jon Entler Jr., Greg Entler and Monty Entler, all of Columbus; stepson, Tim Schilling of Beaver; daughter, Theresa (Tommy) Pritchett of Columbus; stepdaughter, Brenda Schrader of Beaver; brother, Teddy Entler of Waverly; sisters, Laura Gleissner of Lockbourne, Oh, and Marge Pairan of Thornville, Oh; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the COX FUNERAL HOME, Beaver, Ohio Sunday from 4-8 p.m. where service will be held Monday 2 p.m. Dr. John Hardie officiating. Interment Bethel Cemetery.

[Jumpmaster note:  Dr. Hardie was an enlisted man in Co C during the war, the same Company as John Entler)
