Phoenix (Maricopa county), Arizona.
Howard enlisted in the Army on 1 April
1944.
On 5 October 1944, Pvt Esterline was
transferred from HQ 82nd Division, Leicester England to Service Company,
508th PIR.
.However, after less than two weeks,
on 19 October, he was transferred to the 16th Replacement Depot,
Warminster, England.
Pvt Esterline was captured in Belgium
on 18 December 1944 and was liberated from Stalag 13C on 25 July 1945.
He was discharged on 21 November 1945. |
