PAUL F. EVERHART

   Elder Paul Franklin Everhart Sr., 77, of 3645 Road 215, Lewistown, died in his home at 1 a.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 15, 1999.
   A Church of God minister for more than 40 years, he pastored in Muncie, Ind., for 15 years and, as an evangelist, preached in eight foreign countries and 30 American states. He also helped in the construction of 12 church buildings, both abroad and in the United States.
   In the 1960s he worked nine years at Ohio Edison in Springfield. He was a WWII Army veteran.
   He was born April 4, 1922, in Ross County, a son of the late Harley and Iva Penwell Everhart.
   He married Helen L. Robinett on April 22, 1952, in Springfield, and she survives. Also surviving are seven sons and six daughters-in-law, Elmer and Barb Everhart of Bainbridge, Galen and Misty Everhart of South Vienna, Gary Everhart of Russells Point, George and Teresa Everhart of Muncie, Ind., Sam and Patti Everhart of Lakeview and Paul and Jane Everhart and Dan and Tina Everhart, all of Lewistown; four daughters, Sue Carlisle of

Bellefontaine, Mrs. Band (Norma) Davis of Muncie, Mrs. Rusty (Mary) Maynard of Hamilton and Mrs. Arnold (Ellen) Conley of Lewistown; 36 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Ellsworth and Lois Everhart of Proctorville; and four sisters, Dorothy Shoemaker of Humbolt, Mrs. Bob (Daisy) Steinmetz of Urbana, Beulah Baryman of Florida and Mrs. Bob (Minnie) Davis of Highland.
   He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pauline Mundy Lindsay; two sisters and a brother.
   Funeral services will begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Mt. Tabor Church of God, where he was a member. Pastors Kerry Snapp, John Wilcoxon and Paul O'Neil and Elder Dick McKenzie will officiate.
   The family will receive friends at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and on Friday beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery.
   Arrangements were handled by Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home in DeGraff.

Paul registered for the draft in Chillicothe, OH on 30 June 1942 and was inducted into the Army  at Columbus, OH on 23 October 1942.

On 17 April 1944, Pfc Everhart was transferred from Field Force Replacement Depot #8 to service Company 508th PIR.

He was discharged on 7 November 1945
