Grave marker for Rolland Fair in the Chippewa Township Cemetery, Mount Pleasant (Isabella county), Michigan.

Rolland enlisted in the Army on 18 May 1939 and volunteered for parachutist duty.

On 16 October 1942 SSgt Fair was amongst those transferred as cadre from the 507th PIR to the newly activated 508th PIR.  He was assigned to Hq 2nd.
