EVERETT F. FARRIER

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2004, in Faith Lutheran Church in Portland for Everett F. Farrier, who died May 17 at age 82.

Mr. Farrier was born March 15, 1922, in Brownsville. During World War II, he served in the Army. He moved in 1947 to Portland, and was a long-haul truck driver for Americana Freightways. In 1989, he married Dianne K. Buhrmaster.

Survivors include his wife; sons, James E., Craig S. and Bruce E.; daughters, Cynthia A. Rice, Leslie A. Farrier and Marsha C. Savery; stepson, Michael J. Pfaffle; stepdaughter, Kristine Cain; brother, Donald; sister, Arleine Runyon; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Grave marker for Everett F. Farrier in Section W Site 312 of the Willamette National Cemetery, Happy Valley (Clackamas county), Oregon.

Everett enlisted at Ft Lewis, Washington on March 3, 1941.  His enlistment records show he had a civilian occupation of "Musicians and teachers of music".  As a result he became a member of the 508th's band.  He was transferred out of the regiment in April 1943.
