JOHN J. FAWKES

FAWKES, JOHN JOSEPH "JACK," 80, of Zephyrhills, died Wednesday (Aug. 13, 2003) at James A. Haley VA Medical Center in Tampa. Born in Winnipeg, Canada, he came to Florida in 1980. He was a construction superintendent.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne.

He belonged to the Two Rivers Hunt and was chairman of the Gold Coast Terrier Network. He was Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline; five daughters, Pauline Atkinson and Frances Shiver, both of Zephyrhills, Margaret Brower, Kingston, N.Y., Dolores Fawkes, Atlanta, and Maryann Jacobsen, Middleton, Md.; two sons, John Fawkes Jr., Barington, Ill., and David Fawkes, Davie; a sister, Freda Rigsbee, Tampa; 10 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Whitfield Funeral Home, Zephyrhills.
