JOHN J. FIELD

FIELD. JOHN J. "JACK" JR., On February 18, 2014, of Pine Hill, age 88.

Beloved husband of the late Dolores "Dee" Field (nee Moser).

Survived by children Geraldine "Gerri" (the late Ed) Crosby of Clementon and John (Susan) Field III of Pine Hill;

5 grandchildren John (Carrie) Field IV, Wayne Field, Sarah Field, Thomas (Shannon) Crosby, and Michelle (Jack) Gant; 5 great-grandchildren Anna, Ben, Peyton, Joseph, and Matthew; and sister Katherine (Bill) Kissinger.

Jack was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran, serving in the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers.

He worked as a Boat Builder for the Philadelphia Navy Yard.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Sunday afternoon 2 - 4 P.M. and Monday morning 8:30 - 9 A.M. at the ORA L. WOOSTER FUNERAL HOME, 51 Park Blvd., Clementon, NJ 08021. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 A.M. at St. Simon Stock Parish, 178 W. White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009.

Pennsylvania WWII Veterans Bonus arave marker for John J. Field in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin (Camden county), New Jersey.

John enlisted in the Army at Philadelphia, PA on 25 January 1944.

On 2 March 1945 Pvt Field was transferred from the 11th Reinforcement Depot to Company D, 508th PIR.

He was promoted to Pfc on 1 April 1945.

His military decorations include the good Conduct Medal.
