DONALD C. FORCE

Draft Record

Donald used the abbreviation of "Col" in multiple entries to indicate that he resided in Columbia county.  "It is also interesting to see his telephone number listed as "Bloomsbury 6901 R2.  That meant the full number was 256-6901 and because it was a party line shared by perhaps four homes, the R2 meant the switchboard operator should "ring twice" so the appropriate household knew the incoming call was for them.

Pennsylvania WWII Veterans
Bonus application

Donald was credited with 29 months domestic duty and 19 months of foreign service.  He received a full $500 bonus payment.
