Grave markers for Buddy Fry in Plot: AA-8-L20-1W of the  Woodlawn Cemetery, Claremore (Rogers County), Oklahoma.

Buddy was transferred to the 508th from the 82nd Airborne Division Replacement Depot in Leicester, England on 23 July 44 as a replacement trooper following regimental losses in Normandy.

He was assigned to Company C, 508trh and was with the unit when they jumped into Holland for Operation Market-Garden on September 17, 1944.  Buddy remained in combat until he was wounded on October 2, 1944 and evacuated.  He did not return to the regiment and may have been transferred to the U.S. for further treatment and discharge.
