Sgt. Leonard A. Funk [1916 - 1992]
The First Sgt. of Co. C,. Leonard was the most decorated paratrooper in
WW-II. He was awarded the Medal of Honor as well as the
Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star, Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart
with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
His grave is located near the 508th
memorial spruce trees in Section 35, Grave 2373-4)
