Grave markers for Donald C. Garrigues in Park Lawn, Block 32, Lot 223, Space 4 of the Park Cemetery, Carthage (Jasper county), Missouri.

Donald enlisted in the Army at Jefferson Barracks, MO on 12 June 1942.

On 23 October 1942 Pvt Garrigues was transferred from the Reception Center, Fort Lewis, WA to Company C at Camp Blanding. FL.

He was subsequently transferred from Company C to Hq 1st on 27 December 1942. On 12 January 1943 he was listed as being sent to the hospital but then returned to duty three days later.  No other entries were made under his name or ASN.  Presumably he was transferred to another unit and he entry was not mde on the Morning Reports.

Based on his headstone inscription he was transferred to the 551st PIB and attained the rank of Sergeant.

He was discharged on 23 October 1945.
