ROBERT L. GARRISON


WINSLOW, Ind. - Robert L. Garrison, 71, died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at Amber Manor Care Center in Petersburg.

He was a member of United Mine Workers, Huntingburg Veterans of Foreign Wars and Winslow General Baptist Church.

He was a World War II Army veteran and was a prisoner of war in Germany.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, the former Nita Minor; a daughter, Karen Thomas of Winslow; a son, Bill Garrison of Spurgeon; four sisters, Lynetta Wiseman, Bertha Mosby and Dorothy St. Onge, all of Otwell, and Betty Bowman of Lafayette; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Curtis Funeral Home, with burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
