WILLIAM E. GERBER

Inurnment markers for William E. Gerber in Plot: I, D, 146 of the Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent (King), Washington.

William enlisted in the Army in Portland, Oregon on April 8, 1942.

He was an Oregon native then residing in Multnomah county. William had completed 4 years of high school and was working as an apprentice in the printing trades. He was not yet married and had no dependents.

After enlisting he volunteered for parachutist duty and was a member of the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division.
