LESTER H. GERNER

GERNER, Lester H.

   On February 9, 2005 LESTER H. GERNER; beloved husband of Constance Gerner (nee LaPaglia); devoted father of Mary Louise Beier, Jerry Gerner, Pat Pickett and Kip Gerner; dear brother of Corbin, Elroy and Donald Gerner and Betty Barta and the late Loella Harlow and Emmitt and Robert Gerner. Also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
   A Vigil Service will be held at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd. (beltway exit 26A) on Friday. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church on Saturday at 10 A.M. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Friday from 2to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M

Grave marker for Lester H. Gerner in Abbey Gardens 496, Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium (Baltimore county), Maryland.

Lester enlisted in the Army at Milwaukee, WI on 3 August 1942.

Pfc Gerner was transferred from the 11th Replacement Depot to  Hq 3rd, 508th PIR on 10 August 1944.

He was sent to  the 241st General Hospital at  Camp Sissonne France as a nom-combat casualty on 14 March 1945 and returned to duty on the 28th of March.
