DEAN J. GIBSON


Local Draft Board 7 noted Dean's Serial Number after he enlisted, his wife's name and that he had completed 3 years of high school


Pvt Gibson's record was updated documenting his wound in action during the Anzio campaign.


A final update shows that Dean was treated for his wound at Letterman General Hospital, San Francisco, CA and released from service on 10 November 1946


Dean J. Gibson, 80, died Thursday, May 31, 2001, after a heroic battle with cancer.

Dean was born April 26, 1921, in Clearfield, Utah, the son of Fredrick W. and Mary Isabelle Layton Gibson.

On November 25, 1955, he married his sweetheart, LouJean Morley. She died October 25, 1999. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple.

He graduated from Davis High School where he excelled in football and track.

He served in World War II
