TOMMY G. GILMORE

Funeral for Tommy Gilmore, 71, of Somerville will be Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at 5 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel [Decatur, AL]. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Gilmore, who died Monday, June 11, 2012, was born December 27, 1940, in Montgomery. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving 23 years as a Ranger and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He received the Silver Star and two Bronze Medals with Valor.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Gilmore; three sons, Thomas Gilmore of Greensboro, N.C., Jason Rinto of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Christopher Rinto of Clarksville, Tenn.; daughter, Stacy Clark of Germany; two brothers, Tyrone Christian of Las Vegas, Nev., and Donald Gilmore of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Annice Sloan of Mississippi, Mary Helen Durand of Merritt Island, Fla., and Jackie Varone of Greensboro, N.C.; and one grandson, Hunter Gilmore of Greensboro, N.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Alliance, 22570 Markey Court, Suite 240, Dulles, VA 20166.

Sgt. Gilmore was a member of 1-508 in 1968-69.
