RAYMOND R. GOETZ

  Raymond R. Goetz, Jr., age 80,of East Moline, passed away at home with his family by his side after a battle with heart disease, on Friday, May 28, 2010.
   Funeral services were at Calvary Church of the Quad Cities, 4700-53rd Street, Moline. Burial is in Rose-Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline.
   Raymond was born November 19, 1929 in Rock Island, the son of Raymond R. and Mildred (Wishart) Goetz.
   Raymond met his beloved wife, Anna L. Giles at the Moline Gospel Temple, where they were married on January 4, 1952. Raymond was founder and owner of Goetz Concrete Construction Corporation for over 55 years.
   He was a U.S. army veteran, and paratrooper with the 508 Airborne Division. Raymond enjoyed water-skiing and snowmobiling, and had a passion for mission work. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson.
   Raymond had a deep appreciation for the men that were employed by him throughout the years.
