To Sherman B. Golomb
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Rosenberg of the Neville House announce the engagement of their daughter, Lois Bernice, to Sherman B. Golomb.
: Both Miss Rosenberg and Mr. Golomb, son of Mrs. David Golomb of the Morrowfield Apartments and
the late Mer. Golomb, are graduates of the University of Pittsburgh.
A December wedding is planned.

Sherman registered for the draft in Pittsburgh, PA on 29
June 1942 and was inducted into the Army in that city on 5 November
1942.
Pvt Golomb was transferred from the 551st PIR to Service
Company, 508th PIR on 31 January 1945 and then to Company F on 2
February.
On 26 October 1945 Pfc Golomb was transferred to the 505th
PIR.
Sherman submitted an application for the Pennsylvania WWII
Veterans Bonus on 16 January 1950. He was credited with 18 months
of domestic duty and 20 months of foreign service yielding a $480 bonus
award.
His military decorations include the Bronze Service
Arrowhead device awarded for the Southern France Campaign and Airborne
Operations. |
