Grave marker for George E. Goodgion in the Floydada Cemetery, Floydada
(Floyd county), Texas.
George enlisted in the
Army at Lubbock, TX on 26 May 1943. He was transferred to Company
D on 22 November 1944 and participated in the Battle of the Bulge
earning him the Combat Infantryman Badge.

Goodgion returned to the U.S. aboard the SS Queen Mary sailing from
Southampton England and arriving in New York city harbor on 3 January
1946.
