WALTER G. GOODIER

Grave marker for Walter G. Goodier in the Oxford Cemetery, Oxford (Sumner county), Kansas.

Walter enlisted at Ft Riley, KS on 29 September 1942.  He was assigned to Company A, 508th PIR.

Pvt Goodier was wounded on 14 June and again on 6 July 1944.  He was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster and also the Bronze Service Arrowhead device for his participation in Normandy assault.
