HAROLD M GRAHAM

Pfc Graham was transferred from the 101st Airborne Division to Company I, 508th PIR on 19 October 1945.

   Harold Maynard Graham, 96, of Litchfield, IL formerly of Raymond, IL passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 8:36 P.M. at the Timber Creek Assisted Living Facility in Litchfield, IL.
   Maynard was born on February 16, 1923 in Raymond, IL, a son of William “Bill” and Gerhardena (Westhoff) Graham. Maynard married the former Norma Powell on February 15, 1951 in Raymond, IL. Maynard graduated from Raymond High School with the class of 1941.
   Mr. Graham was a veteran of the United States Army during WWII. He was a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division and the 82nd Airborne Division, stationed in several European locations. During his enlistment, Maynard was awarded the EAME Theater Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal World War II and the Occupational Medal.
   After the war, Maynard farmed in the Harvel and Raymond area until he retired in 2001. He was a member of and an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Raymond and was the president of Asbury Cemetery in Raymond for many years.
   Along with his wife, Norma Graham of Litchfield he is also survived by: Sons, Steven (Karen) Graham of Naples, FL; John (Mari) Graham of Redmond, OR; Gary (Jill) of Carlinville, IL 3 grandchildren, Alyssa (Trevor) Long, Carlee Graham and Katie Graham 2 great-grandchildren, Zoie and Fiona Long Brother, Dale (Joan) Graham, of Litchfield, IL Several Nieces and Nephews
   He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Velma Graham and brother, Lynn Graham.
   Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the Community of Faith Church in Raymond, IL. Pastors Tom Mulch & Jennifer Fielden will co-officiate.
   Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery in Raymond, IL.
   The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Panhandle Food Pantry or the Asbury Cemetery.
